Soooo in solidarity with Jennifer Lawrence’s photos getting leaked, people are starting to “leak” their own nudes.

What fucking sense does that make, and why are they so enamored to be specifically concerned with her??

Like I kind of see where they’re trying to…

This seemed like a pretty important statement from Stephen Amell regarding photo content involving his kid, so I’m signal boosting it so everybody knows and can respect the guy’s wishes.

J-Law and Other celebs hacked

cpt-canuck:

cpt-canuck:

So a friend of mine messaged me today telling me that some more celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence had private nude photographs hacked and downloaded from I cloud. Now before I say anything I’ll go on record stating that stealing or vandalism in any form is wrong as is…

Not really because there are safeguards in place such as insurance to protect your money and the banks money just like the insurance companies that provide said insurance have policies and safeguards in place to protect themselves and the risk is minimal. You know the point I am trying to make.

And you know the point I’m trying to make. Or maybe you’ve missed it completely. Insurance exists for a reason. It exists because no one is going to shame you for keeping your money in the one place, with a lot of other peoples’ money, like a big target on it saying to thieves “rob me!” because that’s absurd. Imagine if money was like nudes. If it got stolen or hacked people would just shrug their shoulders and say “meh, well you knew it was a risk.” People don’t even say that if you keep your money in a jar in the freezer or under your bed or walk around with $500 in your wallet. You don’t deserve to be robbed. You weren’t an idiot for doing that. Even if you don’t have personal insurance. The person who robbed you will be pursued, hopefully caught and they will be punished. You won’t be publicly shamed as the idiot who left the house with cash. You’re a victim. The person who did it is a criminal. No shame. No lectures. Crime is crime and having money isn’t a crime and having a nude body isn’t a crime. Stealing money and bodies is the crime.

There are things in life we must do to survive and thrive such as earn money and eat even though we know that we could choke while eating. As intelligent people we have to make choices about what choices are acceptable and necessary versus those that are gratuitous and avoidable.

Well, we have to fuck to survive. Or at least to ensure the survival of the species. If this is how we express our sexuality, why should we be shamed for it? People have a reasonable expectation that their phones and cloud accounts are secure. They’re protected by passwords and encryption, and people shouldn’t be trying to hack them in the first place. We have the right to feel safe in our own homes because we have locks on the doors. But people can force a lock. Are we idiots for feeling safe in our own homes?

If you walk down the darker path at night knowing you are more vulnerable then you have to wonder what one is thinking when they make that choice. Perhaps it is a short cut and you wish to save time but in the end you know its a bad choice and most will avoid doing something that will likely come back to harm them. Now true you may be attacked either way but like I said everything has inherent risk but it is unlikely that each choice presented to us will have the same and is most cases the choice is obvious.

I just can’t even with this.

I feel bad for these people in their moment of embarrassment but this keeps happening and yet people keep doing it and expecting different results. That by its very nature is the definition of insanity.

No, that’s the definition of rape culture.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead took the photos years ago and deleted them. She’s not a person doing the same thing over gain and expecting different results. Perhaps she was concerned from seeing what happened to ScarJo etc and deleted them. I don’t know. It doesn’t matter.
